We are looking for a talented chef

Passionate Foodie with an abundance of creativity? Then we want to hear from you!

Three Buoys is an intimate restaurant overlooking the stunning Appley Beach on the Isle of Wight. We specialise in elegant food with a focus on creating BIG flavours, complimented by a carefully selected wine list.

We now have a space opened up in our fantastic kitchen brigade for a devoted Chef with a passion for great food presented beautifully.

We are looking for someone with a love for good food and a desire to be inspired within the kitchen. This post will provide you with the chance to have a direct creative input into the specials menu. Particular skill working with fresh fish and seafood would be beneficial however, is by no means essential.

At Three Buoys we pride ourselves on using the best, fresh ingredients (locally sourced where possible) in order to create great tasting menus for our loyal customer base.

You must be able to demonstrate a sound level of understanding of the 'basics' of cooking, help and support will be on offer though to get you up and running with the menu. We will be looking for applicants that are proud of what they do, with the ability to work with a close knit team in a close proximity.

As a popular restaurant, we are often extremely busy and regularly fully booked throughout the peak seasons. Because of this, we ask that you have experience of working within a busy kitchen and are familiar with the pace while still preparing dishes to a high standard, not letting that creative flair and passion slip.

This is a permanent post offering on average 35hrs p/w (with more hours available over the summer months) with 2 days off in the week. There is the opportunity to move into a salaried role after an initial settling in period and you are well established with the team and venue.

We go out of our way to provide a work environment that motivates and encourages our staff, offering a happy, healthy and sensible life/work balance with opportunity to develop your skills. The team enjoy socialising together on a regular basis so there will be opportunities to step out of the kitchen and relax.

Please apply to info@threebuoys.co.ku with an up to date CV and a cover letter detailing your previous experience as a Chef and why the Three Buoys is for you.

We’re all about passion and we want to see that from you, from the word go!

We are looking for a waiter

Three Buoys is an intimate restaurant overlooking the stunning Appley Beach on the Isle of Wight. We specialise in elegant food with a focus on creating big flavours, complimented by a carefully selected wine list.

Our waiting staff care about the details that make a great experience; they take pride and a genuine interest in our food. As we prepare for the season, we are now looking to add to our Front of House team with members that thrive on creating a memorable experience.

From families to couples, first dates to anniversaries – Three Buoys is the place where friends and families meet and conversations flow over great food. So it’s our job to make sure each and every customer enjoys an experience – not just a meal.

We want you to bring something extra to the service, to delight our customers and by delivering this outstanding service you will make your job more enjoyable too.

Previous experience of working in a similar environment is desirable however, this isn’t essential providing you have that people person persona and the attentive customer focus that we thrive on. Ideally you will be confident to work within a fast paced and busy Restaurant while maintaining high standards of service and not letting your customer focus slip.

This position will be primarily over evenings and weekends, as well as weekdays over the busy holidays so your hours will increase. You will be an integral part of our team and despite the role ending in October, we hope that after a successful season you will be joining us again next year!

All of our Front of House team are entitled to a share in tips, so you can expect to earn considerably more over the season.

We go out of our way to provide a work environment that motivates and encourages our staff, offering a happy, healthy and sensible life/work balance with opportunity to develop your skills. The team enjoy socialising together on a regular basis so there will be opportunities to step out of the Restaurant and relax.

So, if you’d like to apply to be a member of our team, send us your application to info@threebuoys.co.uk including a detailed cover letter telling us about yourself - it’ll help us get an idea of how you engage with customers.

We’re all about passion and we want to see that from you, from the word go!

Quality Coffee from the Isle of Wight

We are proud to be serving Jaspers coffee at Three Buoys. It really is a unique quality coffee experience. The coffee produced are Artisan Roasted in Brading by Peter. He uses high quality single origin arabica beans from around the world. Each coffee is roasted to bring out its natural flavour and characteristics. They do not dark roast since this destroys the natural sugars leading to a bitter bland coffee.

Jaspers are a small and bespoke roastery. They roast only when needed guaranteeing optimum freshness. 250g bags of beans are also available to purchase at the restaurant so you can have that quality espresso experience at home.

From the moment I booked the service was great. The food was of very good quality (my Husband had the Mackerel Pate starter which he said was excellent, followed by the Sirloin Steak ... I had the Cod Loin, Tomatoes and Butter Beans and Ribbon Cucumber with Feta) and with pudding, drinks - incl. a bottle of wine - it was an amazingly good price!! The staff were very welcoming and very attentive, and with the views overlooking the sea, we couldn't fault anything. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this restaurant to anyone! - -Ascot via Trip Advisor
